The turquoise in this squash blossom is from the Stormy Mountain Mine in Nevada. Stormy Mountain Turquoise is known for being lovely bright blue with large black parts of matrix. It is no longer being mined. This uniquely designed squash blossom dates to the 1940s and is Navajo made. It is in excellent condition. It is strung on its original silver chain and is signed "HK" on the back of the centerpiece. The necklace portion measures approximately 27" in length and the center pendant measures approximately 3.5" by 2.25". The "blossoms" have three petals. It is a very unique but classic squash blossom.
